About The Project:
What are the people in Japan doing amidst the ongoing nuclear disaster? We wanted to go there, meet people, talk to them, learn their struggles and record their activities. But what should we do about radiation while we stay there? We hardly get any information on radioactive contamination through mainstream media.
We want to get advise from people there in order to avoid exposure to radiation as much as possible and share the information in English. At the same time, we want to learn how people are living under the radioactive contamination. For instance – in the course of our research, we found that there are more than 50 ‘citizens radiation monitoring stations’ throughout the country.
We’d like to try our best to inform ourselves about the complex matters of radiological hazards. Yet, the nature of this project is that it will keep changing. Your advise, support is necessary to keep this project alive.
